Auburn Memorial Hospital Announces Details of Emergency, Urgent Care Center Transition
Auburn Memorial Hospital has selected Pegasus Emergency Group to oversee the operation of its emergency care unit (ECU) and urgent care centers (UCCs). The Hospital announced earlier this month that it had completed a yearlong process of assessment, analysis, and consideration, and that the board of trustees and administration were working on finalizing a letter of intent with a nationally known emergency care provider.

Successful IT Conversion: “One of the most significant endeavors in AMH history”
Over 800 staff, including 450 nursing staff, were trained. Workstations and printers were deployed. User accounts were created. Hundreds of hours were spent testing, retesting, and testing again. Interfaces were written and rewritten. Nineteen years of patient data was scrubbed and converted. Financials were balanced to the penny. Claims submission and payment processing were scrupulously tested.

AMH Physician and Nurse Will Travel to Honduras to Provide Medical Care
Dr. Robert Strominger, an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist, and Janine Newert, RN, an operating room nurse at Auburn Memorial Hospital (AMH), will soon be travelling with a group of medical professionals to Juticalpa Olancho, Honduras to provide services that would not otherwise be available to the people of that region. They will be working under the auspices of the Catholic Medical Mission Board.
