Behavioral Health & Psychiatry Services
Auburn Community Hospital and its affiliates offer behavioral health and psychiatry services to patients in our region with acute symptoms of psychiatric illness or disorders.
Along with our external location, AMMS Psychiatry, Auburn Community Hospital’s 14-bed adult Behavioral Health Unit provides psychiatric services to patients age 18 and older who require a safe, therapeutic and confidential environment to improve their mental health. As a short-term care facility, the unit’s focus is to provide compassionate treatment to stabilize patients and reintegrate them back into the community and with their families.
Patients are referred from a variety of sources, including Auburn Community Hospital’s Emergency and other clinical departments, Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Program (C.P.E.P), community physicians, other facilities, self-referral, and family members.
