At Auburn Community Hospital (ACH), Corporate Compliance is more than just a program – it's a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability. Our compliance program ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local laws while fostering a culture of doing "the right thing." By preventing errors before they occur and ensuring sustained progress, we safeguard both our organization and the patients we serve.
How Do We Achieve Corporate Compliance?
- Education: Structured training on compliance procedures, including OMIG's seven required elements, available on the ACH Hub.
- Documentation: Tracking data and maintaining historical records for accountability.
- Audits: Internal and external assessments to identify and address potential issues.
- Enforcement: Disciplinary measures to ensure adherence to standards.
- Measuring Progress: Reassessing compliance efforts for sustained improvement.
This approach formalizes education on regulatory risk areas, enhances communication between administrators and clinicians, and reduces organizational risk in billing or coding errors.

The ACH Code of Conduct sets clear expectations for behavior and serves as the foundation of our compliance program. It applies to all employees, board members, contractors, volunteers, and trainees, ensuring trust, accountability, and excellence in patient care.
Commitment to Ethical Behavior
Our Code of Conduct emphasizes acting with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. Employees are expected to maintain respectful communication, uphold productivity, and avoid actions that could negatively impact ACH’s mission.
Core Principles
- Respect and Collaboration: Treat patients, colleagues, and visitors with dignity and professionalism.
- Accountability: Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
- Integrity: Demonstrate honesty and ethical behavior in all interactions.
- Patient Care Focus: Prioritize the needs, safety, and well-being of patients.
