Biography

Dr. Olumuyiwa Gay is a Board-Certified Physician and Neuropsychiatrist who joins Auburn Psychiatry with over 25 years of experience. Dr. Gay specializes in the treatment of mental disorders in all age groups. He assesses and treats mental illness through a combination of psychotherapy, medication, hospitalization, and psychoanalysis. He works with adults, elderly populations, children, and teens. His has expertise is Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychopharmacological Medication Management. Dr. Gay is one of the few Physician Psychopharmacologists in Upstate NY. Dr. Gay comes to Auburn Psychiatry from Skaneateles Psychiatry, a practice he founded in 2018 with a mission to offer exceptional psychiatric health care to Skaneateles and the surrounding areas. In addition to his private practice, he currently serves as Medical Director of Psychiatric Consulta..on at Crouse Hospital and a Staff Psychiatrist at CPEP (Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program) at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Gay also is the founder and CEO of St. Andrews Neuroscience Medical Neuropsychiatry LLC. Prior to Skaneateles Psychiatry, Dr. Gay's work experience included having served as a Staff Psychiatrist at the Central New York Psychiatric Center in Marcy, NY, the Greater Binghamton Health Center and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
