Daniel Zakhary MD, PhD, trained as a Biophysicist at Case Western in conjunction with the Cleveland Clinic, and currently practicing as a board-certified cardiologist, specializing in cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology. His basic science expertise is focused on the areas of protein phosphorylation, cellular signaling, and molecular imaging.

Dr. Zakhary's research over the past 20 years has resulted in more than a dozen publications in peer-reviewed journals. Specifically, his research expertise includes molecular biochemistry, protein transport, and localization within cell-signaling pathways, enzyme pharmacokinetics and molecular modeling, and also fluorescence spectroscopy and SPECT / PET nuclear imaging. He has taught, lectured, and consulted within the realm of physiology and biophysics, and has applied these scientific principles and results to clinical practice, having further trained in the specialties of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr. Zakhary is currently a practicing cardiologist and electrophysiologist in New York, well well-versed in arrhythmia mapping and catheter-based ablative procedures, management of anticoagulation, and all aspects of Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring devices including non- invasive and ambulatory surveillance technologies.
