Biography

James Iain Syrett, MD, MBA, FACEP, FAEMS has joined the ACH Medical Staff from Oswego Hospital where he was an attending physician in Emergency Medicine and VP of the Medical Staff. He chaired the Health Quality Assurance & Process Improvement Committee at Oswego. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and earned his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and completed his residency training at the University of Rochester. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, & has additional board certification in EMS medicine, has previously served as a consulting physician for NASCAR, and has authored several EMS textbook chapters. Dr. Syrett will focus on a number of key initiatives at ACH including length of stay and developing a concussion clinic with sports medicine, among many other process improvement areas.
