Auburn Community Hospital (ACH) is searching for compassionate members of the community who have the right skills to be a Coder. We are currently in need of a Part time (20-25 hours a week) Coder to work within the Health Information Management department.
Responsible for the complete, accurate and timely assignment of diagnostic and CPT codes and appropriate APC for all patient medical records at the time of discharge. This position has the opportunity to be hybrid after one year, based on quality and productivity. Must maintain continued coding certification.
3+ years of experience.
Must be accredited as CPC- Certified Professional Coder/AAPC, CCS – Certified Coding Specialist/AHIMA, CCS-P – Certified Coding Specialist Physician Practice, RHIT – Registered Health Information Technician/AHIMA or RHIA – Registered Health Information Administrator/AHIMA. Must maintain continued education credits and AAPC or AHIMA membership.
