We are seeking a skilled Full Time, Day Shift Medical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, and tissue samples. The Medical Technologist will play a crucial role in analyzing specimens and ensuring accurate results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
– Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.
– Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
– Analyze test results and relay findings to healthcare providers.
– Maintain detailed records of tests performed and results obtained.
– Adhere to laboratory quality control procedures and participate in quality assurance activities.
– Stay current with advances in medical technology and laboratory best practices.
Requirements:
– NYSDOH license or immediate license eligibility.
– Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent.
– Proficiency in performing a wide range of laboratory tests including DNA isolation, phlebotomy, blood banking, immunoassays, and clinical assays.
– Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management.
– Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of diagnostic procedures.
– Familiarity with research laboratory protocols is a plus.
– Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
