The OB Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the healthcare team in the delivery of patient care within the obstetrics department. This position involves assisting with various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing support to both patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, particularly in areas related to infection control and patient care.
Responsibilities
– Assist healthcare professionals during labor and delivery procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient process. Scrubbing C-sections included.
– Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infection.
– Prepare and clean the delivery room before and after procedures, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Restock the unit/rooms and maintain stock of supplies.
-Prepare and clean surgical instruments.
Skills
-Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR requires a current and active LPN license to practice in NYS.
-1 to 2 years of acute care experience preferred
-Must complete OR orientation

Pay: $21.22 – $24.89 per hour
