Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role involves assessing patients’ needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals to improve their daily living skills. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care in various settings, including inpatient facilities and outpatient clinics/rehab.

Duties
– Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs to develop effective treatment plans.
– Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
– Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
– Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient care and case management.
– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on individual needs.
– Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
– Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy, including early intervention strategies.

Experience
– NYS Occupational Therapist License and proven experience in occupational therapy.
– Familiarity with case management processes and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proven experience in occupational therapy.
– Strong knowledge of anatomy and therapeutic techniques relevant to various patient populations.
– Experience in inpatient settings is a plus.
– Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service while fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
