Shift(s):

  • Per Diem

 

Broad Function:

Responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department. Performs duties involving the operation of equipment necessary; assists on other non-technical departmental duties.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transport of patients to and from the department for their x-ray examinations.
  • Assists physicians/others in locating x-rays and/or reports.
  • Oversees basic office functions for defined periods as needed. Scheduling call reports.
  • Assists in filing of reports and films.
  • Answers the telephone and deals with all telephone requests as appropriate.
  • Assists in non-technical duties in the department such as burn/import CD’s, and clerical duties as designated by the Director.
  • Possess high ethical standards with respect to discretion and regard for confidentiality.
  • Works with Director on specific projects and/or reports as assigned.
  • Participates in inter-departmental, hospital and/or community programs as assigned.
  • Utilizes the principles of Total Quality.
  • Demonstrates age specific competencies as per department standards.
  • Demonstrates clinical and technical competencies as per department standards.
  • Moves and/or lifts patients using good body mechanics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a health care setting preferable.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be CPR certified.

 

Pay: $17.76 – $20.18 per hour
